About

Meet Jyden — your counsellor

For the past decade I've been exploring psychology, spirituality, philosophy and theology — trying to understand people, meaning, and the human experience.

I've spent the last five years working in community services, supporting people across schools, hospitals, residential care, not-for-profits, and government services. Much of this work has centred on walking alongside people who have experienced trauma — including complex and relational trauma — and supporting them toward safety, understanding and recovery.

I enjoy the outdoors and nature — you can find me hiking or exploring in my free time.

Approach

Practical, client-led counselling

Client-led

Sessions are shaped around your goals and pace. You set the direction; I bring the training and structure to support it.

Flexible format

Meet online or in person across the week. Consistent, straightforward scheduling that fits around your life.

Clear and confidential

Honest conversation with a qualified counsellor. Sessions are treated confidentially, subject to legal, ethical and safety obligations.

Trauma-informed

Safety, choice and pacing sit at the centre of the work. I draw on trauma-aware approaches to help you feel grounded as we explore difficult experiences.

Faith & Spirituality

Counselling for faith, spirituality and existential questions

Faith and spirituality can be deeply connected to a person's wellbeing, identity and sense of purpose. I have a particular interest in supporting people navigating faith transitions, trauma, grief and loss, spiritual and existential questions, and questions of identity and purpose.

Whether you're exploring spirituality, questioning long-held beliefs, or making sense of past experiences, counselling provides a space to explore these issues with curiosity, respect, and without agenda.

If faith isn't part of your story, that's equally welcome. Every session is guided by your goals, your values, and what matters most to you.
